Job Title: Chocolate Production & Packaging Assistant

Bon Chocolatiers is a small, independent Irish chocolatier making premium handmade chocolates from our own kitchen in Tullamore. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Production Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a genuinely varied role — you'll be part of the day-to-day rhythm of the chocolate kitchen, from prepping ingredients and helping with tempering and moulding, to hand-finishing pieces, keeping the workspace spotless, and supporting stock counts. It suits someone who enjoys hands-on craft work and being part of a small team where everyone mucks in.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with making handmade truffles, bars, and seasonal chocolate items
- Weigh and prepare ingredients accurately to recipe
- Support tempering, moulding, enrobing, and hand-finishing of chocolate pieces
- Keep equipment, benches, and work areas clean throughout the day
- Organise and rotate ingredient storage
- Assist with stock counts and reordering production supplies
- Carefully wrap and box finished chocolates to a high presentation standard
- Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times
- Help keep the production space clean, tidy, and running smoothly
- Stay open to learning new techniques as recipes and seasons change
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working hands-on in a busy kitchen environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- Fluent English, spoken and written, to follow recipes and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn new techniques
- Genuine interest in chocolate, pastry, or artisan food
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, bakery, or food production setting
- Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, or HACCP practices
Pay: €14.15-€16.00 per hour
