We are seeking a proactive, relationship-driven and impact-focused Sustainability & Membership Executive to strengthen member engagement, improve retention, and lead key sustainability initiatives across our membership base.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Sustainability & Partnerships Senior Executive will play a central role in delivering value to members, supporting business development activity, and contributing to the growth and visibility of Guaranteed Irish.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with members, partners and stakeholders while leading sustainability initiatives, strategic partnerships and the development of Guaranteed Irish House. The role will support member retention and growth, raise awareness of the Guaranteed Irish brand, and showcase the positive impact of sustainable business and local supply chains across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability Leadership & Member Engagement
- Work cross-functionally to integrate sustainability messaging and initiatives into member engagement activity, business development and support sustainability practices within daily operations.
- Lead the development and delivery of sustainability initiatives, programmes, workshops and resources that support members in advancing their sustainability ambitions.
- Deliver sustainability engagement activities across the membership base, including one-to-one advisory calls and training sessions.
- Develop and promote sustainability case studies, impact stories and thought leadership content to raise awareness of member achievements and the role of Guaranteed Irish in supporting sustainable business.
- Coordinate the SDG Champions initiative, driving participation and showcasing member leadership in sustainable business practices.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen member engagement, retention and acquisition through sustainability-led initiatives.
Guaranteed Irish House
- Lead the development and delivery of Guaranteed Irish House as a flagship organisational initiative.
- Develop and implement a programme of events, activities and engagement opportunities that increase visibility, participation and value for members and stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal teams, members and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery and ongoing growth of the initiative.
- Utilise Guaranteed Irish House as a platform to showcase Irish supply chains, provenance, sustainability leadership and collaboration across sectors.
- Support membership growth, business development and brand awareness through Guaranteed Irish House activities.
- Monitor and report on the impact of the initiative, including member engagement, business development opportunities and stakeholder participation.
- Develop case studies and communications content highlighting member involvement and project outcomes.
- Represent Guaranteed Irish at events, conferences, industry forums and stakeholder meetings.
Strategic Partnerships
- Manage and strengthen existing strategic partnerships to maximise value for Guaranteed Irish and its members.
- Identify, develop and secure new partnership opportunities aligned with organisational objectives.
- Support membership growth and business development opportunities arising from sustainability initiatives, partnerships and Guaranteed Irish House.
- Identify opportunities to increase awareness of the Guaranteed Irish brand and promote the value of membership through strategic collaborations and engagement activities.
Reporting & Performance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across HubSpot, SharePoint and other internal systems.
- Prepare reports, insights and recommendations to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Monitor programme performance and identify opportunities to increase impact, engagement and organisational value.
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in Business, Marketing, Sustainability or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in consulting, business development and client engagement.
- Demonstrated experience or strong working knowledge of sustainability, ESG or CSR, with the ability to support members through advisory-style one-to-one engagement.
- Experience managing relationships across multiple sectors, ideally including experience in the Construction, Transport or Energy sectors.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and project management ability.
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot an advantage).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different programmes and stakeholders.
