Purpose of the role: The role of the Staff Nurse is to work as part of the multidisciplinary team, establishing and maintaining good working relationships aimed at delivering a high standard of care to patients within St. James’s Hospital. The post holder is responsible for managing the care of patients and the needs of their families, ensuring quality is maintained throughout their journey through the Endoscopy Unit. The post holder is required to develop additional clinical skills specific to the area of appointment.
