Crewit Resourcing is seeking an experienced Senior Assistant Technical Services Officer (Energy Officer) to join a leading Capital & Estates team based in Tullamore.
This role focuses on driving energy efficiency, sustainability, and carbon reduction initiatives across healthcare facilities, delivering impactful projects aligned with national climate and energy strategies.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and report energy consumption across multiple sites

Establish and support Energy Management & Green Teams

Lead energy awareness and behavioural change programmes
-
Conduct energy audits and develop site-specific action plans
-
Drive delivery of energy reduction and decarbonisation initiatives
-
Develop and manage a pipeline of energy retrofit projects
-
Support funding applications and capital works programmes
-
Manage design, procurement, and delivery of energy projects
-
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines
-
Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies
-
Align sustainability initiatives with national bodies (SEAI, OPW, etc.)
-
Support regional and national sustainability programmes
-
Provide guidance on energy-efficient design (EED)
-
Assist with capital works planning and execution
-
Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
-
Contribute to environmental, water, and waste management initiatives
Requirements
-
Level 8 (or higher) degree in:
-
Mechanical Engineering
-
Electrical Engineering
-
Sustainable Energy Engineering
-
Accredited by Engineers Ireland (or equivalent)
-
Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience

Proven experience in:
-
Energy management and sustainability
-
Building services (mechanical/electrical)

Project management and capital works
-
Energy systems, renewable technologies, and carbon reduction
-
NZEB standards and energy-efficient design methodologies
-
Building services, maintenance, and construction practices
-
Irish regulations and healthcare environment standards (desirable)

Strong project and stakeholder management
-
Analytical and problem-solving ability
-
Leadership and teamwork skills
-
Excellent communication and reporting skills
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadline
-
Full driver's licence and access to transport (site travel required)
