The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring that the Fexco buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards with responsibility for grounds maintenance, securing the property and providing support to the wider business units within Fexco.
Main Responsibilities:
The following is a non-exhaustive list of key elements of the role, which will cover various Fexco sites.
Maintenance (approx. 75% of the role responsibilities)
- Maintain high level of cleanliness across all Fexco buildings and grounds.
- Responsible for basic building maintenance including but not limited to:
- Minor repairs and plumbing. (e.g. replacing carpet tile, unblocking sinks etc.)
- Carry out leak tests on meters
- Internal painting as requested
- Leaf and debris removal
- Water shrub beds (in dry spells)
- Salt paths and car parks (in icy spells)
- Support pre and post incident response activity (Severe weather etc.)
- Power wash properties
- Paint timber fences, gates, railings and benches
- Inspect car parks and maintain in a clean and safe state
- Drain and gulley clearing.
- Litter pick (incl. outside external walls)
- Ensure building entrances are tidy daily
- Bins collection
- Sweeping paths
- Grass cutting & weeding
- Upkeep of all areas with regards to Health and Safety
- Maintenance Log update
- Record keeping for recycling and skip collections
- General maintenance (small painting jobs, minor carpentry, etc.)
- Post and packages – check and sign for early deliveries / delivery to the businesses.
- Office moves, meeting room setup, assist with events, transfer of boxes within and between buildings.
- Waste separation to recycling area as well as cardboard and skip waste streams.
- Hazard reporting (to Facilities and H&S).
- Assist with confidential shredding.
- Driving as required.
- Assistance to company electrician/ external contractors.
- Assist with other materials for disposal (e.g. IT hardware, broken chairs, discarded cable and wire, used A/C filters) to municipal and contractor locations.
- Maintain records for any of the above activities as required.
Security (approx. 25% of the role responsibilities)
- Activate & disarm alarms.
- Responsible for monitoring lights, alarm panels and the Comms rooms.
- Key holding.
- Check and sign for early deliveries.
- Monitor access to locked offices.
- Report faults, alarm activations and hazards promptly.
- Awareness of staff and business units - monitor staff on site at late hours.
- Liaise with staff on site.
- Grant appropriate access to cleaners/contractors to buildings.
- Possibility of extended cover in various buildings (e.g. local events such as Puck Fair).
- On call and call out response for the locations.
- Any other duties as assigned by your Manager, including incident response support.
- Walk around on opening and closing of the buildings/offices to check windows / doors securely locked and to identify reportable issues and hazards etc. Maintain records for any of the above activities as required.
Due to the security and operational responsibilities of the role, the postholder will be required to provide out-of-hours support, emergency call-out cover and key-holder duties on a rostered basis.

- Full clean driver’s license.
- Good general maintenance skills.
- Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
