Graduate Quantity Surveyor
Glenform Structures Limited is a leading reinforced concrete frame contractor based in Plumbridge, Co. Tyrone. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, we are seeking a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Quantity Surveyor to gain hands - on experience working on major reinforced concrete frame projects across Ireland while developing their career within a well-established and growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the commercial management of a number of live construction projects.
- Monitor and control project costs from commencement through to final account.
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
- Measure and value works completed.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly cost reports and forecasts.
- Analyse project costs against programme and provide projected profit/loss forecasts.
- Identify, price and negotiate variations.
- Liaise with main contractor commercial teams.
- Monitor subcontractor accounts and assist with cost control.
- Assist in ensuring payments are received in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Support the Contracts Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor in the day-to-day commercial administration of projects.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or due to graduate shortly).
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK/Irish driving licence or willingness to travel.
Desirable
- Previous placement or experience within construction.
- Experience or knowledge of reinforced concrete frame construction would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
Location
The successful candidate will be based between our Head Office in Plumbridge, Co. Tyrone, and our project sites throughout Ireland and, where required, the UK.
