The Role
In this role, you will support clients to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assisting with dressing, grooming, bathing, and continence care.
- Mobility Support: Assisting with transfers and moving safely around the home.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Building a genuine relationship through conversation, shared activities, and outings.
- Household Management: Light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping.
- Meal Preparation: Planning and cooking nutritious meals based on the client’s preferences and care plans.
- Medication Prompting: Reminding and prompting with prescribed medications as per care plan.

Requirements
- Authorisation to work: Unconditional permission to work in Ireland is essential.
- Communication: Fluent English (reading, written, and spoken) is essential.
- Driving: A full clean Irish driving license and your own car (desirable).
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional care experience (desirable).
- Qualifications: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Candidates currently working towards this will be considered.
- Compliance: Must be willing to undergo National Garda Vetting and provide 2-3 verifiable professional references. If lived internationally, must be able to secure and provide International Police Clearance.
- Soft Skills: High level of empathy, patience, and a "can-do" attitude.
