Experienced Full-Time Nanny / Childcarer Required (Monday to Friday)
We are a friendly, professional family looking for a caring, responsible, and experienced nanny/childcarer to care for our 4-month-old baby in our home from now until the beginning of November.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Following this period, there may be opportunities for evening and weekend babysitting for the right person.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with children and is kind, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual. Previous experience as a nanny, childcarer, au pair, or babysitter is essential, particularly with young babies.
The successful candidate will become an important part of our family during this period and should be confident working independently in our home. You must also be comfortable around animals, as we have a large, very friendly, boisterous dog.
We also have a 7-year-old child who attends an after-school service for most of the day. Occasionally, they will require collection, help with homework, and a light snack in the evening. However, the primary responsibility of this role is the care of our 4-month-old baby.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for our 4-month-old baby.
- Supporting feeding, bottle preparation, naps, playtime, and developmental activities.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Maintaining the baby's daily routine.
- Keeping the baby's play, feeding, and sleeping areas clean and tidy.
- Carrying out light household duties and general housekeeping as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience caring for infants.
- A current Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Garda Vetting.
- A full, clean driving licence and your own transport.
- Reliable, trustworthy, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable and confident around dogs, as we have a large, friendly, energetic dog.
Desirable Qualifications
- A Childcare qualification (QQI Level 5 or higher) or a related qualification would be an advantage.
We are looking for someone who will become a valued part of our family and provide warm, dependable care for our little one during this important stage of their development.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch with details of your experience, qualifications, and references.
