Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team, using fresh ingredients, and has a passion for developing unique menus that delight our clients. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, and contributing to the overall success of our catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes within the company’s standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop and execute seasonal menus.
- Manage food inventory, including ordering and stock control, to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the planning and execution of catered events, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, and incorporate new techniques and ideas into the menu offerings.
- Manage kitchen operations during busy periods, ensuring smooth service delivery
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment, preferably within catering or event-based settings.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Creative flair and a passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
