Summary:
The successful candidate will assist the VP of Aircraft Technical Support with all technical requirements of the Willis Lease Aircraft Leasing business. Responsible for providing overall project management for Willis Lease during Aircraft Purchases/Sales, Aircraft Transitions and Aircraft Returns, to ensure the Aircraft meet all Country of Registration/FAA/EASA regulations and Willis Lease requirements. The Project Manager, Aircraft Technical Services provides the main interface between the Customer, the MRO, and Willis Lease. The Project Manager coordinates all aspects of this process with all internal and external customers. This position may require the Project Manager to travel to the location of the Aircraft and/or the records as necessary (Travel may be at short notice and/or for extended periods) to manage the project or to direct and manage contractors on site. The position reports administratively to the VP, Aircraft Technical Support.
Responsibilities:

Acts as the primary coordinator with Willis Lease Contracts, the Customer, the MRO, and Willis Lease Technical Records to facilitate the project.

Responsible for all technical aspects of aircraft Purchases/Sales, deliveries, acceptance, returns and ongoing management of assets during lease term.

Provide technical support to internal departments including Legal, Finance, Contracts and Marketing.

Point of contact for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities and lease customers.

Perform or arrange technical inspections and records review for company’s assets.

Ensures work performed during the project is complete and complies with Country of Registration/FAA/EASA regulations and Willis Lease requirements.

Reviews for accuracy and, as required, make copies of all data generated by the Customer and the MRO during the project process so that the Aircraft may be leased again or sold in a timely manner.

Assist in any other technical function to support the Company portfolio as may be required.

Attend Industry conferences to stay current on Aircraft programs.

Qualifications / Requirements:
-
Licensed Aircraft Engineer with minimum 3 years of experience within aviation industry.

Experience with the Airbus Narrowbody CEO/NEO Fleet and Boeing Narrowbody Classic/NG and MAX Fleet and the following Engine types will be an advantage CFM56 Series, LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B series, Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan (GTF) and IAE V2500-A5, engine models.

Relevant Third-Level qualification with minimum 3 years of work experience in an aviation technical field.

Experience with Aircraft Transition (Delivery / Re-Delivery) process.

Experience with Aircraft Maintenance Programs.

Experience viewing and reviewing Engine and APU Borescope inspections and reports.

Experience with maintenance reserve claims, reimbursement, and forecasting.

Knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulatory requirements.

Strong background in Aircraft records. Position requires knowledge of Life Limited Parts status reports (Chapter 5) and Airworthiness Directive and Service Bulletin status reports.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel mandatory. Experience with FLYdocs and Lease point an advantage.

Able to travel at short notice, for extended periods and globally.

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with different levels of management as well as different culture.

Extensive global travel - 150+ days a year.
