Part-Time Van Driver & Sports Assistant - Children's Sports Programme
We are looking for a reliable, energetic and friendly person to join our team as a Part-Time Van Driver & Sports Assistant from September.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, is comfortable driving a van, and doesn't mind getting involved in the practical side of running children's sports sessions.
No formal coaching qualification is required for this position. You will work alongside an existing coach who will lead the sports activities.

Your main responsibility will be to help ensure our sessions run smoothly from start to finish.
Your duties will include:
- Driving a van to and from children's sports sessions
- Loading and unloading sports equipment
- Setting up sports equipment and preparing the hall before sessions
- Packing away equipment after sessions
- Loading the van safely and ensuring equipment is ready for the next session
- Working alongside our existing coach during sessions
- Helping to create a positive, friendly and safe environment for children
- Assisting with the general running of the sessions when required
- Taking care of the equipment and ensuring the van is kept organised
What We're Looking For
The ideal person will be:
- Reliable and punctual
- A confident and responsible van driver
- In possession of a full, valid driving licence
- Comfortable lifting, carrying and moving sports equipment
- Friendly, energetic and approachable
- Comfortable working around children
- Happy to work as part of a small team
- Responsible and safety-conscious
- Willing to get involved and help wherever needed
Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
Experience in sports, children's activities, camps, schools, clubs or similar environments would be an advantage, but a coaching qualification is not required.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is dependable, has a positive attitude and genuinely enjoys working with children.
Hours
This is a part-time position, with work primarily taking place around children's sports sessions.
The role will involve travel to session locations, setting up before sessions and packing away afterwards, so the successful candidate should be comfortable with the practical and physical nature of the job.
Start date: September 2026
Why Join Us?
