Brophy Bloodstock is a well-established equine transport company specialising in the safe and reliable transport of horses throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe, and internationally.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at our office in County Laois. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company's day-to-day financial records and client accounts.
- Post daily financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
- Process purchase invoices, customer invoices, supplier payments, and receipts.
- Complete bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounts preparation.
- Liaise with accountants, clients, suppliers, and other external parties regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous bookkeeping experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software is desirable.
