About Super Stars
Super Stars is a leading performing arts school dedicated to nurturing confidence, creativity, and excellence in young performers. We produce a variety of stage productions, concerts, showcases, examinations, workshops, and special events throughout the year. We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our productions and events.
The Role
The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all Super Stars productions and events. Working closely with the management team, administration staff, teachers, venue partners, and external suppliers, the Production Manager will ensure that every event is delivered to the highest professional standard.
This role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and a passion for live performance and event management.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Event Management
- Oversee all aspects of Super Stars productions, showcases, concerts, examinations, workshops, and special events.
- Develop and manage production schedules, timelines, and event plans.
- Coordinate rehearsals, technical rehearsals, performance schedules, and event logistics.
- Ensure productions are delivered safely, professionally, and within budget.
Team Coordination
- Work closely with Super Stars management, administration staff, teachers, choreographers, directors, and music staff.
- Coordinate communication between all departments involved in productions and events.
- Manage and supervise production volunteers, backstage teams, and support staff where required.
Venue & Technical Management
- Liaise with theatres, performance venues, technical teams, and suppliers.
- Coordinate lighting, sound, staging, set requirements, costumes, props, and technical equipment.
- Ensure all venue requirements, risk assessments, and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Budget & Administration
- Assist management in preparing and monitoring production budgets.
- Track production expenses and ensure cost-effective delivery of events.
- Maintain accurate production records, schedules, and documentation.
Event Delivery
- Act as the lead operational contact during productions and events.
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively during rehearsals and performances.
- Ensure a positive experience for students, parents, staff, and audiences.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in production management, event management, theatre management, or a related field.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during production periods.
Desirable Qualifications
- Qualification in Event Management, Theatre Production, Arts Administration, Performing Arts, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with children’s performing arts organisations.
- Knowledge of theatre technical operations, staging, lighting, and sound.
- Garda Vetting (or willingness to obtain).
