Office & Business Development Administrator Gorey, Co. Wexford | Full-Time
We are looking for an energetic, ambitious and organised person to join our growing horticultural business in Gorey, Co. Wexford.
This is a varied role within an expanding business, covering office administration, accounts, customer service, website management, purchasing and business development.
We are looking for someone who is confident with computers, good with people, willing to learn and, most importantly, not afraid to bring new ideas to the table.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices.
- Managing VAT and assisting with accounts using Sage.
- Preparing and managing customer orders.
- Dealing with customers by phone and email.
- Managing and updating our website on a daily basis.
- Liaising with our Dutch growers and suppliers.
- Managing product, pricing and order information.
- Coordinating orders and deliveries.
- Researching grants, funding and business supports available to the company.
- Assisting with general office administration.
- Helping with the development of new plants, products and planters.
- Looking at ways to make our products more cost-effective to produce.
- Supporting management with the day-to-day running and development of the business.

As the business grows, you’ll be encouraged to:

- Find easier ways to manage orders and paperwork.

The Person
This role would suit someone who is ambitious, creative, switched-on and keen to develop.
You should be:
- Energetic and enthusiastic.

- Confident using computers and learning new systems.
- Good with people and confident dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Creative and willing to think outside the box.
- Commercially minded and conscious of costs.

- Interested in horticulture, plants and product development.
- A good communicator.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Keen to learn and develop alongside an expanding business.
Experience with Sage, VAT, accounts, websites or online systems would be an advantage, but experience is not essential as full training will be provided for the right person.
