Job description
We are looking for a hard-working Carpet/Vinyl Fitter for a Permanent Full Time or Part Time Position.
Michael Heavin Carpets & Furniture is a family owned and run business which has served the midlands for over 35 years. With long standing roots in Athlone and the local community we have a loyal customer base which has made our business a success throughout the years. We specialise in flooring as well and providing a wide range of furniture and home furnishings.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Fitting Carpets and Vinyl and some contract flooring
- Providing customers with professional advice
- Following a busy schedule
- Doing in-home consultations and measuring for customers.
- Assisting senior salespeople with necessary information
- Impressing customers with excellent customer service and product knowledge.
- Maintaining a high level of workmanship
- Be constantly informing yourself of product knowledge
- Maintaining company vans in regards to cleanliness and equipment
- Excellent time keeping
- Ability to multitask
What we are looking for:
- 3+Years fitting experience
- Experience following a busy schedule
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
- Competent math skills for estimating job requirements
- Professional customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Organisation skills
- Timber flooring fitting a plus but not essential
- Experience using all relevant adhesives
- Full B Driving License
Place of Work:
- Location: Athlone
- Days: 3-5 Days a week
- Working hours: 9 am - 5:15pm
- Contract: Full-time/Part-Time Permanent
