We are seeking a highly motivated, patient-focused Aesthetic Nurse to join our growing medical aesthetics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of non-surgical aesthetic and skin treatments while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals through evidence-based treatments.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Conduct patient consultations and assessments within scope of practice.
- Develop personalised treatment plans in collaboration with medical practitioners where appropriate.
- Perform aesthetic treatments including:
- Dermal fillers (where appropriately trained and authorised)
- Skin boosters
- Polynucleotides
- PRP/PRF treatments
- Microneedling
- Chemical peels
- Laser and light-based treatments
- Body contouring treatments
- Skin rejuvenation procedures
- Monitor patient progress and arrange follow-up reviews.
- Manage treatment complications and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and photographic documentation.
Patient Care
- Deliver exceptional patient experiences throughout the treatment journey.
- Educate patients regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, aftercare, and expected outcomes.
- Obtain informed consent in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Provide comprehensive aftercare advice and support.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to all clinic policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are prepared and maintained appropriately.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain professional registration and mandatory training requirements.
Business Development
- Support clinic growth through excellent patient retention and satisfaction.
- Participate in promotional events, open evenings, and educational workshops.
- Contribute to social media and marketing content where appropriate.
- Stay informed about developments in aesthetic medicine and emerging treatments.
Essential Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration.
- Minimum 2 years post-registration nursing experience.
- Previous experience in aesthetic medicine or dermatology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Professional, confident, and patient-centred approach.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certification in dermal fillers.
- Experience with laser and energy-based devices.
- Experience in skin health, dermatology, or cosmetic nursing.
- Training in PRP, skin boosters, or regenerative treatments.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Experience using electronic medical record systems.
