My client, a busy and growing logistics and business support company, is currently seeking an experienced and reliable General Operative to join their team in Dublin 15
Position Overview
As the General Operative, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. You will be responsible for a variety of duties including loading and unloading vehicles, assisting with deliveries and collections, moving and organising stock, and carrying out general operational tasks as required. Youmay also utilise a forklift as part of your daily duties, ensuring materials and goods are moved safely and efficiently throughout the site.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys varied work, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, physically fit and capable of working both independently and as part of a wider team while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
This is a full-time, ongoing position operating on a rotating schedule of 5 days over 7, Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate will receive €19.00 per hour, paid weekly, and will have the opportunity to join a well-established company with long-term career prospects for the right individual.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in a General Operative, Warehouse Operative or similar role
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced operational or logistics environment
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is advantageous
- Full clean Category B driving licence preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible to work a 5 over 7 schedule
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates are advantageous
