Athenry Opticians is a specialist optometric practice with a strong focus on binocular vision, neurodevelopmental optometry, and vision therapy. We work with children and adults whose visual difficulties impact learning, work, and daily life.
Our clinic is led by an optometrist with a fellowship in behavioural optometry, and we are committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Vision Therapist to join our growing team. This role involves delivering high-quality, individualised vision therapy programmes and working closely with the optometrist to support excellent clinical outcomes.
This position is suited to a confident clinician with strong hands-on experience in vision therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one vision therapy sessions for children and adults
- Implement and appropriately modify prescribed vision therapy programmes
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress accurately
- Educate patients and parents on home therapy activities
- Communicate clearly with the supervising optometrist regarding progress and challenges
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional therapy environment
- Uphold clinic standards and patient care excellence
