Eliza Care Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Person in Charge / Director of Nursing to lead Tinnypark Nursing Home. This is a senior management role responsible for the overall clinical governance, regulatory compliance, operational management, and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the nursing and care teams, promote a culture of dignity, safety and respect, and ensure the centre remains fully compliant with HIQA standards and all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the nursing home
- Ensure high standards of clinical care, governance and regulatory compliance
- Support, supervise and develop nursing, care and support staff
- Oversee audits, quality improvement, risk management and incident reporting
- Promote excellent resident, family and staff communication
- Maintain inspection readiness and drive continuous improvement
Essential Requirements:
- Registered or eligible for registration with NMBI
- Minimum 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience
- At least 3 years’ experience at CNM level or equivalent leadership role
- Experience in older persons’ residential care or a similar healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and clinical governance
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Satisfactory Garda Vetting and references
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in management, gerontology, dementia care, quality and safety, or related area
- Experience in quality improvement, risk management, budgeting or operational planning
