The Role
Reuben Street Kitchens Ltd, a division of the Artizan Group is seeking an experienced Group Quality Manager to lead food safety and quality assurance across our group of food businesses. This is a hands-on, multi-site role covering a primary production facility, school meal operations, contract catering client sites, and a frozen foods operation.
You will own our food safety management systems end to end , from HACCP plans and internal audits to training, compliance documentation, and regulatory liaison. The role also carries responsibility for auditing school and client sites, registering new sites with the relevant authorities, and building genuine quality capability across all teams.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this is a senior operational role suited to someone who is equally comfortable on a production floor, in a school kitchen, and presenting to an EHO.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain HACCP plans, food safety management systems, and compliance documentation across all group operations
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced internal audits across production, school sites, and contract catering client sites, covering HACCP records, cleaning, temperature monitoring, allergen management, and hygiene standards
- Assess the quality and standard of meals served at school sites, including temperature at point of service and adherence to agreed menu specifications
- Manage the registration of new sites with the relevant local authority prior to commencement of operations
- Lead CAPA processes following audit findings, non-conformances, or complaints, tracking corrective actions through to close-out
- Design, deliver, and maintain a group-wide food safety and quality training programme, including induction training for all new starters and ongoing refresher training for all staff
- Maintain a group training matrix and audit-ready training records across all sites
- Act as primary technical contact for EHO and regulatory visits
- Manage allergen procedures, supplier approvals, traceability systems, and product specifications
- Produce regular quality performance reports for senior management
