Reliable Property Services is currently seeking a dedicated, reliable, and experienced Building Maintenance Operative / General Operative to join our team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the delivery of maintenance and building services across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The successful candidate will be proactive, practical, and capable of carrying out a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to a high standard.

About the Role
As a Building Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for completing routine maintenance, repairs, and general property support tasks across various sites. You will work both independently and as part of a team, responding to planned works, urgent requests, and emergency maintenance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repair tasks across a variety of properties
- Completing painting, decorating, filling, and minor surface repairs to walls, paths, and other areas
- Performing installation, carpentry, and general handyman duties
- Repairing, or assisting with the repair of, equipment, fixtures, fittings, and household appliances
- Responding promptly to assigned jobs, urgent tasks, and emergency callouts
- Identifying and reporting major repair or maintenance requirements
- Managing materials, tools, and resources effectively and efficiently
- Using mobile job-tracking, email, and communication apps to update work progress
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment at all times
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A full, clean driver’s licence
- Proven experience in property maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar hands-on role
- Their own tools
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Good knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas
- Ability to use mobile phones, email, and job-management apps
- Flexibility with working hours
- A proactive, reliable, and practical approach to work
