Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Dublin team and are now looking for a Workshop Controller to drive performance, efficiency, and customer excellence.
The Role
You will support the Workshop Manager and Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring productivity targets are achieved and operations run efficiently. Working closely with the Foreman, you will maximise the performance of Technicians and subcontractors while delivering a high standard of customer service in line with Net Promoter Score targets.
Key Responsibilities

Load and review workshop diary bookings and order service kits to maximise efficiency and meet KPIs

Allocate, manage, and close job cards, delegating where appropriate

Ensure all completed work is compliant, signed off, and vehicles are roadworthy

Manage warranty processes in line with manufacturer requirements and timescales

Work with the Foreman to allocate work based on technician skillsets

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

Manage subcontracted work to minimise downtime and control costs, including Loss of Use where applicable

Escalate any internal or external VORs likely to exceed targets

Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on vehicles off the road longer than expected

Maintain accurate, real-time job statuses across all systems

Ensure Planned Maintenance, Compliance Events, Recalls, and Loan Days are delivered within targets

Effectively reschedule work to accommodate changing priorities
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
-
Strong IT skills including MS Office, databases, and Outlook
-
Full clean driving licence
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Professional, customer-focused approach
-
Ability to perform in a busy, high-pressure environment

Strong understanding of cost control and target delivery

Excellent multitasking and coordination skills
Desirable:

Mechanical qualification or strong technical knowledge

Experience within the vehicle rental or fleet industry

Supervisory or people management experience
