Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Over-the-Counter (OTC) Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As an OTC Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their OTC medication needs, and ensuring a smooth and efficient pharmacy operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and recommending OTC medications based on their needs and symptoms
- Provide accurate and professional advice regarding OTC products
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain inventory and ensure the proper stock of OTC medications
- Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to ensure high-quality customer service
- Keep the OTC section of the pharmacy organized and stocked
- Ensure all products meet regulatory and safety standards
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of OTC medications and health products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy safety standards and regulations
- Relevant certifications are a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service, especially in healthcare or retail settings
- Pharmacy Assistant Certification or similar qualification
- Knowledge of EPOS systems
