Pharmacy Technician (Upskilling Opportunity)

We are currently seeking to hire a full-time Pharmacy Technician / Trainee Technician to join our team in Dublin. This is a unique opportunity for a knowledgeable pharmacy professional to transition from the retail floor into the dispensary, with full training and support provided.
The Role
The main purpose of this role is to assist the Pharmacist in the day-to-day running of the dispensary. You will bridge the gap between retail and dispensary. Full dispensary training will be provided to help you upskill.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pharmacist in the safe and efficient running of the dispensary.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with patients, and GPs.
- Manage daily and monthly orders for assigned accounts, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently for the pharmacist to check.
- Follow up on prescription and medication queries with GPs and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in data entry and stock management.
- Learn, understand, and adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Deliver exceptional customer care and seek to increase patient satisfaction at all times.
- Work collaboratively as a supportive and proactive team player.
Criteria & Experience Required:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy community pharmacy setting is essential. (This experience can be within the retail/OTC environment; prior dispensary experience is a bonus but not mandatory).
- Qualifications: A recognised Pharmacy Technician or Dispensing Technician Qualification is highly desirable, or a strong desire and commitment to undertake qualification/upskilling while working.
- Systems: Previous experience or proficiency with the Touchstore Dispensing System is a distinct advantage, though training will be provided.
- Skills:
- Accurate data entry skills with strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Fluent English (written and verbal) with excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with great attention to detail.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to adapt to varied patient needs.
