Job Description:
We have a permanent opportunity to join AXA Ireland as a Business Development Manager!
As the Business Development Manager you will manage and develop profitable business opportunities with AXA Broker partners in line with AXA Strategy. You’ll plan to deliver a quality service to Broker’s partners and achieve Key Performance Indicators (Sales, retentions, profitability and Underwriting Quality performance) .

You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Please note this role requires regular attendance at our Dublin head office, Wolfe Tone House.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage Key Broker relationships on personal and commercial accounts to develop business opportunities, deliver KPI’s, quality service and resolve issues (underwriting and finance) for brokers

Respond effectively to policy queries from Broker partners on a referral basis within agreed authorities

Adhere to the control environment including underwriting QA, Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance environment to ensure a high level of governance within Broker area

Work closely with the AXA broker Team to achieve performance targets and service objectives

Communicate the Company’s sale strategy and product range to all Brokers and ensure Broker understanding of strategy

Participate in product and service working groups to develop and deliver regular product training with brokers

Provide feedback and market information on changes/developments which may occur in the insurance industry

Participate in cross functional projects as assigned
About You
What we’re looking for:

Five or more years’ experience in the General Insurance industry with at least 3 of those in a supervisory capacity

CIP is essential, with MDI and progress to ACII being desirable

Excellent knowledge of current practices within the insurance market

Advanced knowledge of insurance products

Knowledge of regulatory and legislative environment

Strong relationship management and influencing skills
- Key decision making, organisational and communication skills
