We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Machine Checker to join our team in Drogheda. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our hire fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, presentation, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), minor repairs, and maintain the fleet of rental equipment.
- Inspecting machines for defects and Servicing and minor maintenance
- Use inspection reports and diagnostic information to identify faults, carry out minor repairs, or escalate issues requiring further workshop attention.
- Updating service records
- Escalating faults to managers
- Use of a wide range of specialist tools
- Keeping the workshop area clean and tidy and PPE guidance followed at all times
- Attend manufacturers training courses
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Full Category B driving licence.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Health & Safety awareness
Desirable
- MEWP experience
- FLT certificate
- Plant hire experience
- Mechanical maintenance background
- GA1 inspection knowledge
The ideal candidate will:

- Be comfortable using digital inspection and maintenance records
- This role involves working indoors and outdoors, manual handling, standing for extended periods, and inspecting machinery in a busy depot environment.

- Environmental awareness. Spill kit. Asbestos awareness
Terms and conditions:
- Monday to Friday - 07.30 to 17.30
- Overtime available - Saturday shift 08.30 to 13.00
- 20 days holidays plus Bank Holidays
- Company pension scheme available following successful completion of the 6-month probation period.
- Based primarily at our Drogheda depot, with occasional support required at our Dublin depot.
