Mater Private Network is seeking an operational Team Lead to join our Central Administration department. This is a hands-on, fast-paced supervisory role where you will balance day-to-day administrative duties with guiding, motivating, and supporting a multidisciplinary team. You will play an active part in driving operational efficiency, upholding high standards of patient care, and ensuring our administrative services run smoothly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision & Leadership: Direct, coordinate, and motivate administrative staff under your remit; balance workload distribution across the team; manage staff performance, attendance, and general well-being.

Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day central administration to meet strict deadlines and service level agreements; monitor and review office documentation (reports, correspondence) for maximum accuracy.

Service Excellence: Ensure a dignity-first, customer-focused environment for all patients and clients; act on feedback from service users to continually improve processes.

Records & Systems: Organise and leverage appropriate hospital technology to streamline administrative workflows; maintain reliable, secure archive and record management systems in strict compliance with confidentiality standards.

Communication & Collaboration: Act as a communication bridge between frontline administrative staff and middle management; organise and participate in operational meetings; maintain cross-departmental harmony.
Qualifications & Experience Required

Education: Leaving Certificate standard of education (or equivalent).

Experience: Proven experience working within a hospital or healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of administrative workflows and operational processes.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, supervise, and motivate a team within a multidisciplinary setting.

Technical Skills: Strong IT literacy and proficiency with administration software/tools.

Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a high degree of empathy and sensitivity towards patient needs.

Attributes: High level of discretion, initiative, strong organisational ability, and precise attention to detail.
Key Terms & Conditions

Probation: 6-month probationary period (subject to potential extension).

Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to a pre-employment medical assessment carried out by an independent medical advisor appointed by the hospital.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Flexible working required)
Shift Patterns are as follows:
06:00 - 14:00
07:00 - 15:00
08:00 - 16:00
10:00 - 18:00
Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE)
