Job Title: Well Drilling Assistant / General Operative
Martin & Dean Harte Well Drilling are looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our well drilling team.
We are a 4th generation family-run well drilling company based near Ballinascarthy, Co. Cork, carrying out water well drilling throughout Cork and surrounding counties.
This is a hands-on outdoor role working alongside an experienced driller, assisting with the day-to-day operation of a drilling rig and equipment.
Main duties include:
● Assisting the drilling operator on site
● Handling drill rods and equipment during drilling
● Helping set up and pack away equipment
● General site work including shovelling and keeping the work area organised
● Assisting with maintenance and repairs of equipment
● Driving company vehicles (LDV) when required
● Operating machinery controls once trained and experienced
The ideal candidate:
● Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
● Good practical ability and common sense
● Comfortable working outdoors
● Mechanically minded with an interest in machinery
● Good driving ability and a full driving licence required
Advantages (not essential):
● Category C rigid truck licence
● Experience driving larger vehicles
● Previous machinery experience
No previous well drilling experience is required — full training will be provided for the right person.
There is also an opportunity for the right candidate to progress and learn more aspects of drilling operations over time.
Working hours:
● Monday to Friday
● Start time usually 8:00am (varies depending on jobs)
● Finish times can vary depending on the day
Based near Ballinascarthy, Co. Cork.
Work carried out across Cork and surrounding counties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €17.50 per hour
