Marlin operates a collection of lifestyle hotels, aparthotels & serviced apartments across the capital cities of London and Dublin. We are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our property Dublin to support with both proactive and reactive programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Our Maintenance Engineer is the heart of the business, supporting the operation by undertaking planned preventative maintenance tasks as well as reactive repairs. This is a dynamic role with duties that may include:
- Plumbing repairs – Toilets, showers, sinks etc.
- Basic Electrics – Changing of spotlights and transformers
- Painting and basic decoration repairs
- Joinery repairs to furniture and doors
- Mechanical & electrical planned maintenance duties
- Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrate service excellence for every guest interaction
- Ensure procedures and protocols are carried out to the highest quality
- Ensure transparent communication is maintained for all feedback and incident
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
- Engage and support the company standards
Required skills:
To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Autonomy to make logical decisions and prioritise urgent jobs
Required Experience:
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician or within property maintenance
- All round proven experience in general maintenance repairs, white goods repairs, plumbing, electrical and carpentry
- Basic to Intermediate Excel and Word skills, would be an advantage but not essential
