This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company where you'll play a key role in optimising transport operations and ensuring efficient route planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate transport routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Monitor and adjust transport schedules to meet customer demands and service levels.
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Utilise transport management systems (TMS) to track fleet movements and optimise efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Analyse data and generate reports to improve transport planning strategies.
- Resolve transport-related issues promptly to minimise disruptions and delays.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and service updates.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is desirable.
- CPC qualification or relevant transport certification is a strong advantage.
- Previous experience in a transport planning role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
- Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
