About the Role
The Nursing Home Administrator will oversee and support the daily administrative operations of the nursing home, working closely with the Person in Charge, clinical teams, residents, families, and external stakeholders. You will play an important role in maintaining high standards across admissions, compliance, financial processes, staff administration, and resident experience, ensuring our home continues to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional reception and administrative support to the nursing home
-
Welcome residents, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals, creating a positive first impression
-
Manage phone enquiries, appointments, bookings, and general correspondence
-
Coordinate resident admissions, tours, and communication with families and external partners

Support HR administration, including staff records, documentation, and employee files

Assist with financial administration, including:

Invoice processing and payment tracking

Payroll administration support
-
Account management and reconciliations
-
Budget monitoring and financial reporting

Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements

Support the Home Manager with daily operational tasks and reporting

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintaining best practices across the home
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in administration, ideally within healthcare, hospitality, residential care, or a similar environment

Confident managing financial administration, including invoicing, payroll support, and account processes

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Professional, approachable, and customer-focused

A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues

Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital systems

Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in nursing home administration, healthcare administration, or long-term care settings is highly desirable

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance, and quality standards within residential care

Experience supporting budgets, financial processes, reporting, and resource management

Knowledge of HR administration, staff records, and training coordination

Proven ability to support and develop teams through effective communication and organisation

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

A relevant qualification in healthcare management, nursing, social care, business administration, or a related discipline is desirable

Experience with quality improvement, risk management, and audit processes would be an advantage
