Job Description & Skills Required
Mallow Road Motors (Cork) Limited, located at Kilnap, Old Mallow Road, Cork, T23 Y622, is currently hiring experienced vehicle technicians. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a 40-hour work week and an annual salary range of €37,440 to €48,880, depending on experience.
We are looking for qualified individuals with hands-on experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles. Technicians should be confident in using diagnostic platforms, interpreting technical bulletins, and performing mechanical and electrical repairs to high manufacturer standards. Main franchise dealership experience is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections.
- Use diagnostic systems to perform software updates, resets, and system calibrations.
- Accurately complete job cards, service records, and warranty documentation.
- Liaise with service advisors and workshop management to support quality standards and customer satisfaction.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a relevant motor mechanic qualification or trade certification (National Craft Certificate, QQI, or equivalent).
- Have 2+ years of busy workshop experience.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work as part of a team.
