Duties will include:
- Managing reception duties including inbound telephone calls.
- Managing reservations and bookings.
- Checking-in arrivals and checking-out departures in line with hotel procedures.
- Ensuring the well-being, satisfaction and comfort of all guests/hotel patrons and to establishing a highly personalised style of service and attention to guests/hotel patrons.
- Establishing a courteous, helpful and friendly attitude to all guests/hotel patrons. Meeting and greeting all guests/hotel patrons in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
- Being familiar with and promoting hotel facilities and local attractions in the area. Assisting guests with any requests for information and directions.
- Ensuring good communication with all departments throughout the hotel.
- Handling, following-up and communicating any comments or complaints to relevant Heads of Department if unable to handle.
- Ensuring that all tasks are completed on each shift and that a full and thorough handover takes place at the end of each shift.
- To ensure that all cash, voucher, cheque and credit card transactions are correctly processed.
- To ensure that all charges are correctly posted to guest bills.
- To follow proper opening and closing procedures for each shift.
- Maintaining a high standard in personal grooming and appearance.
- Complying with all current policies and procedures of the hotel.
- Recording all relevant comments of appreciation, suggestions and maintenance points in order to initiate follow up.
- Being fully aware of the Hotel’s fire and safety procedures and health & safety regulations.
- To complete and facilitate training programs as required .
- Performing all additional duties as required by the management team.
Applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role.
- Be flexible in relation to hours worked, working weekends and evenings will be required.
- Have the ability to multi task and to remain calm whilst working under pressure.
- Have strong organisational skills.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have a high standard in personal grooming and appearance.
