Listowel Childcare is actively seeking a dynamic and motivated Early Years professional to join our dedicated team. If you have a minimum of a QQI Level 5 in Childcare with relevant childcare experience, excellent communications skills, up-to-date knowledge of early years policy and a fun loving attitude, we invite you to apply for this role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To work with children of various ages
- Perform a variety of tasks to provide holistic care of the children
- Conduct observations of children and implement a short/long term plan
- Follow the policies and procedures of the service at all times
- Co-ordinate and implement age-appropriate activities
- Maintain rooms and equipment to ensure the health and safety of children at all times
- Ensure a high standard of hygiene
- Support children's emotional, social, physical and cognitive development
- Attend meetings and undergo training as required
- Be aware of child protection procedures
The successful candidate must have:
- Minimum QQI Level 5 in Childcare
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of the children
- Good communication skills with children, colleagues and parents
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations as set out by Tusla, DES
- Will be required to complete Garda Vetting
