About the Role
Our partner, the largest company in Ireland in their sector, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join their production team. You will act as the technical link between engineering and production, converting STEP files into precision programs for a range of Trumpf equipment (sheet laser, tube laser, and press brake).
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Programming: Create and optimize programs using Trumpf TruTops, TruTops Boost, and TruTops Tube software platforms.
- File Processing: Import and analyze engineering STEP files, resolving potential manufacturing challenges early.
- Nesting & Efficiency: Develop nesting strategies to minimize material waste and maximize sheet utilization.
- ERP & Traceability: Use SAP to manage material allocation, record stock usage, and maintain full traceability.
- Technical Review: Read complex engineering drawings, applying accurate tolerances and bend allowances.
Requirements & Experience
- Essential: Strong experience programming at least one of the following: sheet laser, tube laser, or CNC press brake.
- Desirable: Experience across all three machines is highly preferred, but training can be provided.
- Software: Experience with the Trumpf software ecosystem (TruTops/Boost/Tube) and SAP is highly desirable but not essential.
- Skills: Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
