Overview
The University of Galway seeking a Temporary Marketing & Communications Assistant to support the delivery of branding and marketing initiatives during a busy period. This role will involve assisting with brand guideline projects, social media strategy, and campaign delivery, particularly around key events and the start of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of brand guidelines
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content across multiple platforms
- Contribute to marketing campaigns, including key partnership initiatives and events
- Develop visual and digital content for social media and marketing materials
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the marketing team during peak periods
Requirements
- Experience in social media content creation and platforms (e.g. Hootsuite)
- Knowledge of marketing and design tools (e.g. Canva)
- Web content management experience, ideally with T4 CMS
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Strong general IT skills
Desirable
- Relevant qualification in Marketing or a related discipline
- Awareness of data and insights to inform marketing decisions
- Fluency in the Irish language
