Role Title: HR Generalist (Maternity Cover)

Role Summary
This is a specified purpose (maternity cover) 18-month contract. The successful candidate will provide support in all aspects of the HR function. This role will support team members, enable growth, provide high touch employee service and be an advocate of the Barclay culture. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: administration, employee wellbeing, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment and employment law compliance.
This is a Hybrid role with 3 days of onsite working in the Dublin office (Mulhuddart, Dublin 15) and 2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities

Provide end to end generalist HR support throughout the employee life cycle to the leadership team across all areas of HR including HR best practice, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and organisational development.

Sourcing of external training providers and coordination of same as well as coordination of internal training

Advise on, and proactively manage, any employee relations issues, instances of underperformance, etc as they arise in order to ensure timely outcomes and fair treatment for all employees.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data management within the HRIS (HR Locker), maintaining system integrity to support effective reporting, compliance and decision-making.

Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and HR projects as part of the Engagement Cluster.

Drive Human Resources improvement projects in line with organisational objectives and business needs.

Process routine employee requests and provide relevant information and paperwork as required in a timely fashion

Keep up to date with new national employment legislation
- Drafting and updating SOPs / Work Instructions

Provide any other administrative support that may be required

Provide support on HR projects and special events as required
Competencies & Experience required

CIPD / HR degree or similar Qualification

Good working knowledge of HR best practice and Irish Employment Law
- Strong on attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and stay calm under pressure;

Proficiency in MS Office;

Consistency in meeting deadlines;

Excellent Communication skills

Strong analytical and associated problem-solving ability

Able to work under supervision or on own initiative
- Can maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and details.
- Experience in payroll advantageous but not essential.
