Bus Mechanic
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bus Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain buses to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance and carry out repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance on buses.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and engine-related faults.
- Service and repair
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet legal and company standards.
- Replace worn or defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and perform emergency repairs when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or a related trade.
- Experience maintaining and repairing buses, coaches, or heavy commercial vehicles preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's licence
- Knowledge of diesel engines and modern vehicle electrical systems.
