LBK Solutions is an civils and electrical contractor working across Munster on public lighting, EV charging and watermains projects. We're a small, growing crew — no layers of management, good kit, steady pipeline of work.
The job
We're looking for an experienced pipelayer to work on fresh water / potable watermains projects. Day to day you'll be laying and jointing watermains and dealing with everything that comes with live and new networks, including:
- Laying and jointing HDPE, PE and ductile iron mains (butt fusion and electrofusion welding a big plus)
- Service connections and tie-ins to existing live mains, including under shutdown
- Setting valves, sluice valves, air valves, scour valves and fire hydrants
- Thrust blocks, marker posts and chamber builds
- Pressure testing and swabbing of new mains
- Chlorination, disinfection and sampling ahead of commissioning (working to Irish Water / Uisce Éireann standards)
- Locating and working around existing services — ESB, gas, telecoms, sewers
- Dealing with bursts, leaks and emergency repairs on live mains
- Trench excavation, bedding, surround and backfill to spec
- Road reinstatement to Purple Book standards
- Working in traffic management on public roads
What we're looking for
- Solid experience laying watermains — you know your way around a live network
- Safe Pass and manual handling (current)
- CSCS Pipelaying ticket an advantage
- Fusion welding certs (butt/electrofusion) an advantage
- Full clean driving licence — C licence a bonus
- Someone reliable who can work away without being minded
