We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking and dispatching materials while ensuring the warehouse is kept safe, clean and properly organised.
This is a hands-on role that may also involve driving a company vehicle. Applicants must have previous warehouse experience, a full clean Category B driving licence and the necessary training and experience to operate a counterbalance forklift or reach truck safely.
Main Responsibilities
- Receive, check and record incoming deliveries.
- Pick, pack and prepare materials and equipment for collection or dispatch.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift or reach truck.
- Store materials safely and in the correct designated areas.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stocktakes.
- Report damaged, missing or incorrect materials.
- Deliver or collect materials using a company vehicle when required.
- Keep the warehouse, yard and loading areas clean and organised.
- Carry out daily checks on forklifts, vehicles and warehouse equipment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Complete any necessary warehouse and delivery documentation.
- Support other warehouse and operational duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Full, clean Category B driving licence.
- Valid counterbalance forklift or reach-truck certification.
- Proven experience operating a forklift or reach truck safely.
- Good understanding of stock handling and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to carry out manual handling and other physical duties.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work without constant supervision.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for stock records and warehouse systems.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience using warehouse or stock-control software.
- Manual Handling certification.
- Experience driving a company van and making deliveries.
- Experience working with construction materials, tools or equipment.
The successful candidate will be expected to work safely, take responsibility for materials and equipment, and maintain an organised and efficient warehouse.
Pay: €15.00-€18.00 per hour
