A vacancy has arisen for a Materials Specialist in the Stores Department, based at Dublin Airport. The successful candidate will ensure goods inwards & outwards procedures are followed and incoming deliveries are processed in a timely fashion so as to support the efficient running of the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process receipts, stock location, issuing of Dublin Aerospace & customer materials;
- Prompt processing of all deliveries so as to ensure efficient running of operations;
- Ensure IT systems are used effectively and housekeeping maintained, e.g. Materials reject board (MRB) receipts;
- Ensure all actions are compliant with Company procedures in relation to airworthiness, health & safety and environmental requirements;
- Adherence to Goods Inwards and Goods Outwards procedures as appropriate;
- Be prepared to undertake other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Company from time to time.
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably assigned in line with the requirements of the role.
Core Competencies / Key Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a stores environment would be advantageous.
- Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and flexible in their approach to work.
- Ability to work under pressure both in a team and on their own.
- Strong communication and organisational skills both written and oral.
- Good IT knowledge.
- An appreciation of the importance of material supplies to the Dublin Aerospace operation.
- Be available to obtain PAC approval for Stores Department in the future.
Essential Criteria:
- Current full B Drivers licence;
- Willingness to undergo training in Counter Balance Forklift operation.
- Be willing to undergo Garda Vetting and be able to pass a 5 year background check.
- Have permission to live and work in Ireland without restriction.
- Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug screening.
- Fluent in English (written & spoken).
