We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our Engineering team in Rathdowney Co. Laois. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality fabrication work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, modification, repair, and installation of equipment and structures to support the efficient operation of the site.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify stainless steel and mild steel components.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Carry out cutting, welding, grinding, and fitting activities to a high standard.

Manufacture guards, platforms, pipework, supports, and other plant equipment as required.

Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures.

Maintain accurate records of completed work where required.

Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant efficiency.

Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

A trade qualification in Fabrication, Metal Fabrication, Sheet Metal Work, Welding, Mechanical Fitting, or a related discipline.

Previous fabrication experience within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or food production environment.

Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
