We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer / CAD Technician to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career candidate looking to develop practical experience in electrical design, CAD drafting, and industrial engineering projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and project teams to produce electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for a range of industrial and commercial projects. Full training will be provided on specialist software systems including Eplan and Cubic.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update electrical schematics, layouts, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Eplan, and Cubic software.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical control panels and wiring diagrams.
- Support senior engineers in preparing project documentation and technical drawings.
- Revise and maintain drawings in line with project changes and client requirements.
- Assist with preparation of Bills of Materials (BoMs) and related documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Maintain organised project files and revision records.
- Attend project and design meetings when required.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, suppliers, and production teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services, Automation, CAD, or related discipline.
- Experience with AutoCAD is desirable.
- Exposure to Eplan or Cubic software is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills within an engineering environment.
