The Marine Hotel in Sutton is currently seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated Bar Supervisor on a full-time basis with a positive can-do attitude, friendly personality when dealing with customers and who genuinely enjoys supervising a busy and strong team.
The successful candidate must have relevant experience and be available to work over a seven-day period – involves weekdays and weekends work and have proven bar supervisory and stock taking experience.
At least one (1) year experience in a similar role is preferred for someone who is comfortable to run day-to-day operations and lead a strong bar team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable supervising the bar during busy service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Bar service according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure timely setup and ongoing maintenance of Bar areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all Bar areas.
- Control heating, lighting, and music/TVs to create a comfortable atmosphere.
- Provide efficient and friendly service to guests at all times.
- Maximize sales through effective upselling.
- Complete daily SOP checklists to uphold staff training standards.
- Execute daily and weekly cleaning checklists to ensure high hygiene standards.
What You Will Need:
- Previous hotel experience in a 3/4 star hotel property is desired but not essential.
- Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
- Micros Experience would be preferable
- Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including midweek and weekends.
