The Role
This is a call for ambitious chefs who are bored of water baths and microwaves. At Chubby’s, we cook with fire. We are looking for a CDP who wants to learn the craft of smoking, curing, and grilling over charcoal.
Why Join Us?
We are not a "churn and burn" kitchen. We are expanding our operation this summer by launching our food truck on-site, working in tandem with the main kitchen.
Master the Fire
You will be trained on the Missouri smoker and clay oven indoors, and the truck operations outdoors. This variety makes you a more rounded, adaptable chef.
Create
We listen to our team. If you have a dish idea that fits our ethos, we want to taste it. If it’s good, it goes on the menu.
Move Up
We promote from within. We are looking for CDPs who want to be Sous Chefs next year. We will give you the training and the responsibility to get there.
What We Need
Solid Skills
You have 2+ years on a section. You work clean, you taste everything, and you stay calm when the tickets fly.
Curiosity
You want to know why we use specific woods or rubs. You are hungry to learn butchery and open-fire techniques.
