Quantity Surveyor
Our client, a County Kerry-based construction company, is currently recruiting a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of specialist sports construction and civil engineering projects from tender through to final account.
The company has a number of ongoing projects across various locations throughout Ireland. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts, cash flow and margins.
- Prepare valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts and scopes of work.
- Prepare quantities, estimates and tender submissions.
- Obtain, assess and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Manage procurement and monitor subcontractor commercial performance.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.
- Support contract administration, notices and commercial correspondence.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Estimators and senior management.
- Attend client, subcontractor and project meetings as required.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of Quantity Surveying or commercial construction experience.
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction or Commercial Management.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, procurement and contracts.
- Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Ireland.
Salary
Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
