We are looking for an experienced and energetic Duty Manager to take the lead on our Conference & Banqueting operation. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a busy 4-star property, covering everything from corporate conferences and private dining to weddings and gala events — while also carrying full duty management responsibility across the hotel.
Key responsibilities
- Own C&B events from setup to sign-off
- Lead and brief the floor team each shift
- Inspect function rooms — linen, AV, layout, signage
- Be the main contact for event organisers on the day
- Liaise with the kitchen on timing, covers, and dietaries
- Manage room turnarounds between sessions
- Action all function sheets accurately
- Carry full Duty Manager responsibility hotel-wide
- Handle guest queries and complaints professionally
- Upsell food, beverage, and event upgrades where appropriate
- Maintain duty logs and handover notes
- Ensure H&S and licensing compliance at all times
Experience & qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years in C&B or banqueting operations in a hotel environment Essential
- Previous supervisory or management experience leading a floor team Essential
- Strong food & beverage knowledge across service, bar, and wine Essential
- Confident, professional manner with event clients and guests Essential
- Familiarity with Rezlynx PMS or similar hotel software Preferred
- HACCP / Food Safety Level 2 or willingness to complete Preferred
- Full flexibility across early, late, weekend, and event shifts Essential
