We are currently seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Member Services Officer to join our Member Services team.
Position Overview:
As a Member Services Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our members in branch & by phone. You’ll play a key role in providing excellent customer service while accurately handling financial transactions. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist members with everyday banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments
- Onboarding new members and assisting in opening of current account’s
- Provide accurate and efficient service to members at the teller counter
- Answer member enquiries and offer solutions to their financial needs
- Promote and cross-sell Connect Credit Union products and services, such as current accounts, loans, savings accounts, and online banking tools.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of member information.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in transactions.
- Support other team members and departments as needed including but not limited to helping at events
Essential Competencies:
· Team worker with strong communication and organisational skills
· Excellent IT skills
· Strong attention to detail and administration experience
· Ability to multi-task in a busy team environment and work off own initiative
Desired Competencies:
· A relevant Qualification (QFA, APA) or being prepared to study for same, would be an advantage.
· It would be an advantage to have previous Credit Union experience or financial organisational experience
