Essential Requirements
We would like to hear from Healthcare Assistants who have:
- A reliable, caring, and compassionate nature
- A minimum of 6 months' experience in a nursing home, hospital, or healthcare setting
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Role Responsibilities
As an Agency Healthcare Assistant, you will:
- Assist healthcare staff with the implementation of individual care plans and daily activities to promote the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of residents and patients.
- Support residents and patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting, while maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
- Observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents and promptly report any physical, emotional, or mental health concerns to senior staff.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and safe moving and handling techniques.
- Participate in handovers, team meetings, and documentation as required.
- Respond promptly and professionally to call bells and resident requests.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and visitors.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
Work Location
Various healthcare facilities throughout Ireland.
Pay: €17.00-€40.00 per hour
