Food Safety & Quality Officer
Location: South Dublin
Full-time, permanent postion.
Working Pattern & Hours:
- This is a 5-day over 6 roster, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday cover required
- 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)
- Working hours are aligned with production schedules (4:00am – 7:00pm)
- Start times may vary depending on operational needs, typically between 7:00am and 9:00am
- Some shifts may start earlier (from 4:00am) or run later (up to approximately 6:00pm), depending on production requirements

About the Company
A leading food manufacturing company based in South Dublin, supplying high-quality products to major retailer in Ireland. They are committed to maintaining strong food safety standards, quality excellence, and continuous improvement across all operations.
The Role
Food Safety & Quality Officer to support site compliance and ensure all food safety systems are effectively implemented and maintained. You will play a key role within the Quality team, supporting audits, HACCP systems, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage food safety and quality systems including HACCP, GMP, PRPs, and pest control
- Support internal and third-party audits (BRCGS, Bord Bia, DAFM)
- Monitor compliance and drive corrective actions and root cause analysis
- Support customer complaints and technical investigations
- Deliver food safety training and support site quality culture initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Food Science or related discipline
- 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS and Bord Bia standards
- Experience supporting audits and compliance systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full drviing licence and car due to varying shift times
